Practice and training and blalbalblalbal

I've always tried to understand practice as a thing, should I do it? If I do how much? What if I totaly dont enjoy doing it should I force myself? Should I only train if I want to and enjoy to? Should I rather spend more time living balanced life and training only a little bit before matches? Like just plain warm up?

I mean technicaly if you think about it , if you come to clanwar feeling good , trusting in your own skills ( without practice ) and just having basic micro and everything , you can win anyone, you can think of any counter in game if needed, adapt to anything... aslong as your brains work good and your hands are atleast at speed of minimum requirements (being able to do what you think of doing) , but at same time If you spent more time training, your hands will move faster, but really thats not the point, one thing which I am absolutely sure is :

My micro and multitasking is at same speed as progamers you see on streams and shit ( in top shape I mean and no lag,but same goes to them ) But its not the speed what makes their micro better than mine in most situations, you see my micro mostly shines with mass rifles and harassing ( cuz thats what I ussualy do ) , but in situations like expo defence and creeping with footies/miltia while you are being harassed is really not my thing , I mean sure I do think of few things and do not bad moves, but they clearly they have more experience in all of those things and know what works the best in that situation, to me it may seem , oh this is good for now, but after 30seconds it will back fire, cuz sequence of moves which followed turned out to fuck me up and this couldav only been forseen if I spent some time thinking about it or knew what will come at me or had genious brain and thought of it in a mili second. From this it seems that you either play hardcorely massively so that you would know most of the possibilities coming at you and know how to react to them ( no point in trying to achieve this,unless you want to succeed only in wc3, takes just sick ammount of energy ) or you stop being a bitch and make situations yourself, force situations on your opponent, make them play your rules or accept their rules only if you are comfortable with them. For example I am extremely uncomfortable in counter-expo play in human mirror, I just plainly feel lost and scared all the time, I have no idea whats coming, I dont feel timings, I try to scout all the time , but at same time I have to keep track of his army size, and levels and creep myself fast and safe, theres just too much for me, while opponent just plays with his dick and creeps arround, thats because I forced myself into this situation. Easiest way to force yourself out is to just pressure the opponent, really hard! Thats why you may notice that all those new tactics I write down are mostly simple army combinations + take map control. Its easiest way of playing really, you dont need to know many things about the game or have many experiences, when you are in control of the game you clearly see opponents actions everything is easier. Any imba thing opponent can do , you can counter immediatly if you see, which you do if you keep the control well, and if you try to keep the control vs all races , you learn to do it really quickly. While if you play expos or lame, game varies just too much, opponent may go dual expo, single expo, fast tech, ultra fast tech, all in, island expo, mass lame, map control, late push while expoing, hidden aviaries, hidden expos and fucking similar bullshit, its really hard to scout when you dont play in the map , but do things like expansion or preparing to lame ( aka being a bitch ) , just think history , what do bitches do? Ninjas, assasins and such? They use fucking poison, or attack while opponent is unprepared, but whenever the opponent was prepared they ussualy get served easy, unless the ninja or assassin is really hard trained and knows how to fight head on, but in this case he must be much better warrior in first place, cuz he must have 2 styles at higher level. Now think of last Sky game vs ELF ( or any other expo Hu fag ) , he took expo and tried to be sly, never face head on , cuz obviously he is weaker after expo, he tries to get thru to various places somehow , unseen, and get advantage out of that. Sure theres almost unlimited possibilites of things you can cheese, but most of them are so easy to predict and if you use something like 1 air unit to scout arround , all your cheese will fail. But you see its not only me thinking about straight fighting all the time nowadays, its even seen in recent human replays, pro humans try to reclaim the map control after expanding alot sooner, they are getting tired of being bitches too. Really when you start growing as a player , the more and more you will want to face your opponent head on, with your skills, which is map control and micro ( micro is actually ALOT MORE brains than macro, cuz its real time, its fast , quick decisions, both players trying to overcome eachother with better moves , really exciting ). Anyhow in the end it all comes down to one thing. Practice isnt important, all you need is micro, fresh head, feel the game and zero fear. But this is exactly the same in ALL things in life, all you need is basic training, feeling the subject and just fresh head ( it comes from balanced life ) , and just use your skills, the more you will rely on your skills the faster and bigger they will grow, the more you rely on strategy, the weaker you will be. Whatever I forgot what was my point in the beggining of article, but I hope it was some use to you

Main principles

Main principles or goals really help out when in game , when action is going on its really hard to think of ultimate guides and huge strategies, but when you have ONE or a few of MAIN GOALS its extremely easy to think, its not even in wc3 only , this goes to everything, lets say in survival in wilderness main principle would be setting up fire, fire is the most basic thing you will need and from it you can adapt into anything.

In wc3 main principle can always be: (with human)
Get an army which can fight
Creep , exchange combat if needed, have army which you can micro, so if you put enough effort you wont lose units, be somewhat defencive
While fighting take an expo with towers or tech to new units

3 basic rules, you will never fail with them, with any race really. Wc3 is shit simple, just win

The ultimate guide

The ultimate guide is no guide at all, freestyle to the max, but at same time practice hard to have the minimum requirement for freestyling ( micro and solidity )




in any case heres update on few strats:

VS UD
Bloodmage paladin mass rifles into gryphons , few tower in base , defencive base ( rifles used for mass creeping and defence , heroes for laming and defence , use flamestrike )

VS ELF
riflecaster everygame ,everymap, mass creep/expo/push options , on TM can go island expo once 50food or so, riflecaster enables you to play freely, can lame too, and use riflecaster for defence , same way as vs UD

VS ORC
bloodmage paladin mass rifles , use rifles to creep and to harass burrow, defencive base , use rifles for defence and raids and creeping, possibility to expo while fighting ( expo with tower ), most importantly dont lose shit and upgrades, orc cant split his army well so abuse that and abuse the fact that your rifles cant be killed quick and can fight for LONG LONG TIME

VS HU ( freestyle alot )

but something like , counter expos with upgraded units either in tier 2 or tier 3 with knights + dropps with zeppelins, upgraded armor is super sick vs footies , use this

could play beastmaster first and harass with quils and maybe use mercs too, tier 2 expo with casters is alright , but never RUSH , be chilled, dont rush with counter expo , you need to have good macro balance to be able to adapt to quick mass of gryphon or caster or knight mort swiftly

BLOODMAGE FOR BEGGINERS


Things to have: ( super important )

  • Customkeys ( make your own for maximum potential, use WARKEYS )
  • Normal PC set up, comfortable chair , normal height desk, normal mouse and keybord
  • No distractions
Minimum Requirements : Be able to defeat computer(insane) Undead without any abuse (towerrushes are abuse).
If you cant then go try again until you can, watch replay where you lose and try to think off of a strategy.Personally when I started, I mass played vs insane until I defeated all of the races. Took me 1 week after starting if I recall correctly.

Stage 1: ( your hero comes out )

WHAT TO DO?

Immediatly go to your enemies base for some extra scouting.

WHY YOU ASK?

Because your opponent might be going for fast tech, fast expo, he might have weak peasants or units which you can kill so try to look for ways to deal some serious damage to your opp. + Because you are teching he might go into mass siege units or just mass units really fast which must be scouted to counter properly.

WHATS NEXT?

If your opponent is playing passive ( creeping+teching ) , go do the same.Your tech is probably faster so you get advantage in creep+tech game. If your opponent is expanding ( taking another base ), try to delay him as much as you can and attack him when he engages with gold mine creeps. If your opponent is going all aggressive on you , just run home and defend or if he isnt massing or just cant penetrate your defences ( towers ) you can try going to his base and do some damage to him while he is trying ( but cant ) do damage to you!.

Stage 2: ( you reached tier2 )

If your opponent is ELF, build 2 arcane sanctums and 1 workshop. Make copter (workshop) and scout elfs base and potential expansion places, act according to situation. ( he is expanding, make big army 60food¬ and then push his expansion ,if he is teching to tier 3 for some bears, get invisibility upgrade on your sorcerress and make about 6-8mortars and harass elfs base)
*note that , if elf stays tier 2 he will probably expo, but if he doseant he cant really do much to your base nor' your army if you just mass mortars/casters , unless air , but vs air you can easily transfer to sorcerress+copter or tanks with barrage!



If your opponent is HUMAN, build 2 arcane sanctums, 1 barack and tech to tier3.Get mass spellbreakers+knights and do hit and runs on your opponents base.If he is trying to expand, get a big army ( 60+food ) and attack his expansion or main (smart would be to attack place with less towers). Note that Bloodmage+Panda absolutely rapes all human ground army. ( excluding
breakers ).



If your opponent is ORC, build 3 arcane sanctums and go to tier3 , mass some damn sorcs and priests + get a second hero for yourself, someone with a pretty good AoE would be good ( Pitlord, Archmage, Panda , Mountainking with clap ) Then just seriously mass casters , get upgrades for them ( very important , upgrades for caster give more mana and health for them ).And go for invisible harassment with your heroes and maybe take invisible sorcs with you too , they focus burrows real good. If ORC went for mass wind riders or so , or an expansion , its pretty much easy victory for you unless he is grubby.Just do non stop invisible harassment on his bases and try not to lose your units and heroes , just make some extra towers at homebase and go for mass copters with flak cannons , then just inner fire them and find orcs air army and kill them all in like 3seconds.
*Note that if he is making bats , its really a myth that bats>copter, just split your copters which is pretty easy or go all in force attack on him and polymorph ( sorcs spell ) all his bats before engaging with copter. Really super easy bro.If no air units from orc and just standart stuff , just do invis harass regulary and creep up. Once you have a nice army and feel like you can expand , do so and tower it up pretty good ( like 5 tower ) or go for a tower rush.After expo vs ORC get Knights and gryphons to addition of your casters and maybe some mortarts too.


If your opponent is UNDEAD, If you have level 3 on your bloodmage once tier 2 starts, get pitlord or panda and run into undeads base and flamestrike+Fire his ziggurats or buildings in general. Ziggurats drop SUPER FAST and if you get like 3 zigs you will pretty much win the game. Otherwise, get level 3 on your bloodmage with casters. Build 2 arcane sanctums and 1 work-
shop and tech tier 3. Use copter from workshop to scout what undead is doing and leave one copter on your army too in case of a shade.Just try to level up as quick as possible while scouting undead, if he expanded in tier 1 , expand with like 6 sorcs and 2 priests yourself and take 2nd hero panda or pitlord. Theres nothing undead will be able to do to you for a while so just mass level and go invisible harassment or just harassment with aoe regulary.Undeads weakness is Acolites and ziggurats so abuse it , because everybody do this, elfs abuse ancient of war creeping , their imba heroes and stuff like that. Your dream army should consist of mostly breaker and some caster and if air from UD , copters and/or tanks with barrage.




Thats pretty much it, very basic tactics for newbies with Bloodmage. Should start of from these + note that I didnt include SUPER DETAILS, just when you are playing you will hopefully understand them yourself. These CAN make you ultimate progamer, but its not very likely.

New crow's order

Its impossible to create something ASTONISHING just like that out from nowhere, even in the end when it seems that you made a flawless strategy , flaws are found , there is no special shit, thats why gotta use no special thinking in game, think simple and scout super often, be like water really.

Bloodmage first vs all. Harassing in tier 1 is pretty much pointless, go critter creep + militia creep a bit. Skill flamestrike drain banish or flamestrike drain drain or similar.

VS HUMAN mass breakers vs Anything, best unit , best mobility , best scouting ,best harassing unit.

VS ORC mass rifles vs Anything, best unit for instant map control and expo or swift push.

VS UNDEAD mass rifles vs Anything, good for creeping and expanding really fast.

VS ELF fortress expo or copter island expo ALL THE TIME, just take MORE EXPOS than elf does!

Ussualy play BLM Paladin. Most solid choice.

And note that, after expoing tower your expo up and scout for opponents moves to try to take his expo , if he does go full aggro on him, otherwise abuse and take more expos.

Gotta make your move really fast otherwise you risk being cheesed

Some more STRATEGY thoughts

Been laddering quite a bit past few days, tried playing Bloodmage first strats all the time instead of those archmage first strats which seemed quite effective too. In the end i can say:

VS ORC on EI if orc is going for normal orc build order + shop and you went 21 tech and 2 rax and rifles after tech, you can expand once your paladin is out in tier 2 with no tower ( if orc pressures you call some militia from main base and just mine wood later on at your expo ) + instead of this you can just abuse your militia power cuz of late tech , like have 2 groups of militia of 5 and just take 5 to creep something while those going back call another group and creep safely like this, but remember to buy dust and banish blademaster before killing big creeps.

on SV gotta go fuken 18tech , because orcs dont go normal shop tech on it ussualy, thus giving them a bit faster hero and a bit more units and weakening your tier 2 control in the middle of a map ( good pro orcs creep big camps lightning fast , even going 19 tech may bring you lose )

on TM play 21 tech to rifles, but i am not sure about this, should probably try critter creeping with bloodmage while tech and bit militia creep so you would get lvl3 bloodmage ( but you will have flamestrike like this not banish, but could skill like banish flame drain or so ) in any case i once said myself , try playing bloodmage paladin rifles vs orc on ALL MAPS VS EVERYTHING , but later after creeping and taking map control abit just adapt to orc ( take expo , tech , add in gryphons? or anything really, could maybe like make rifle upgrades on armor and later just transfer to gryphons after exe , should be able to hold exe with banish heal until tower go up fairly easily, only problem is siege units , but because you skill flamestrike banish drain or could leave 1 skill point free at level 3 and adapt from there, actually this is genius idea , writing blog is super useful lol )

Actually forget what I wrote about SV ( it was from my experience vs xelsing, his tech was faster a bit , i forgot a farm my paladin was later , so he managed to take a bit more map control ). If you go rifles and 21 tech , you can critter creep and miltiia creep to about 2,5LVL BLM VERY EASY and in tier 2 get paladin and go creep your expo spot ( yes dont take map control like super hero in middle , playing by orc rules is cool , but not as effective i can say ) , could when creep fountain or just defend expo , or if you have flamestrike skilled you can flamestrike trees to shop creeps and creep them or buy items and stuff or like creepjack lol! , biggest challange will be creeping after you expo, but banish counters ensnare so its alot safier to creep arround, should probably creep red real fast , because orc wont expect that or be expoing himself at that moment or creeping red camp. ( this is really how pro gamers always think, they see something then they do the most favourable thing, like oh he expoed , ill go fucking creep whatever i want and expo ( ussualy camps arround your expo ), oh i am losing , i go creep biggest camp or somewhere where i can get exp tome ir nice item or whatever to help me win! )

on TR 21 tech i think is always the best choice , alot more flexibile , allows you to critter creep and ofc more wood, this allowing you to tower up all middle in tier 2 with your rifle power and take any expos you want lol! And then ofc go into late game! Late game is amazing for bloodmage.

VS ELF on EI just do fortress expo style of thing too, make a tower line to your expo spot or something like this and later proceed into mass abuse units and abuse the elf, but dont break 50 or anything , cuz on EI its gonna be a long game. Note that Darkranger is really good in this type of play because of the CHARM abuse he can do after shes 6, so beware young bloodmage )

on zeppelin maps Drops of course , on TR still fortress expo, BY THE WAY, when fortress expoing I think its better with 2 arcane sanctums only and more tower, add mortars only when expo is safe and clear or maybe even 2 expos or whatever. Really need that solid force of spellbreakers and upgraded mass casters to set it up smoothly + its not like they are going to go to waste later on , theres always need for casters with any kind of army set up. And look , only counter to casters is dryads or any similar units in tier 2, towers counter that , any other shit is coutnered by breakers and slow in tier 2!.

on SV vs elf hmmmmmmm.......... well its always possible doing cheesy expo by planting towers behind the expo with flamestrike or whatever. Should be able to take tier 2 expo with MASS militia and rifles or footman if you made like 4-5 of footies or like 2-3 rifles before going to expo. Banish could probably be handy. OH WAIT , you can critter creep both natural expo spots! I mean ofc you will probably get jacked or whatever , but this will make elf creep it for you then rofl , and you can plant towers then there with ease. Btw just had this idea, for extra backup for your expo could flamestrike or just chop the trees near green gnolls near your base, could plant some towers there too to back you up later on. After expo is set up I think the best would be to like mass an army INSTANTLY and attack elfs expo while towering red camp or whatever , so you could secure one more expo and then start abusing or so. Tho' its not really easy abusing on SV. Could like attack elf with alot of shit and take healscrolls or anything and while doing this tower all middle near tavern ( like this you secure both shops for healscrolls too ) and then just heal up your shit and TP once your towers half upped or so. Could give huge advantage towards elf + even if elf knows you might do this, you might not and go all in push in first time, in situation like this elf just gambles , very stressful!

VS HUMAN Well mostly humans tryed attacking me in early and canceling towers, but I just skilled banish and banished water elementals , easy defence and later on just knights breakers non stop aggression , counter expo , drops and just drain mana from MK and shit. Banish is very useful actually , can banish+abolish magic ( from troll priest ) kill water elemental from 1 abolish if water elemental is hit 1 time by bloodmage before that. Can banish early gripphons , mortars with shards, water elementals , banish+pheonix focus heroes and shit, really good!

Btw when fortress expoing vs Humans , get alot of priests with dispel first if its vs AM, really human cant put any pressure on you without water ellies and go dual arcane sanctums firstly too!. BTW when facing gryphons + knights and shit like that, i tried making 3 rax and rifles knights priests breaker and it worked really good. BTW ironicaly when you are playing Bloodmage first you cant really rush in like mad all the time and slay everything ( BURNING TO AVENGE ) , if theres an option always chose to chill and expo one more time and bank.

VS UNDEAD on EI , I am not sure about this yet, you kinda need expo , but can live without it too. It seems that going rifles after tech is really good cuz you can just creep up and if theres surprise gargs or some shit you defend it easy or if theres expo attempt from UD you can coutner expo or push and win real fast. OH WAIT, look if you just get rifles after tech ALWAYS VS UD , but like from 1 rax lets say ( something undeads do too lol ) , you can just get lvl 3 bloodmage real fast , if UD is taking expo you can mess him up , if he tries to mass creep you can do the same and once you have lvl 3 BLM you just go flamestrike harass while your other hero power levels. Well actually NO, I think just go 2 rax after tech rifles and power level like mad and take expo in tier 2, and just secure it and chill , maybe even tower it up and get your 2nd hero ( PALADIN PREFERABLY ) lvl 3 real fast and then just non stop abuse with those 2 heroes while banking and shit.

on SV, should go mass rifles too, just clear those fountains, but I think go 18 tech AND SCOUT and bloodmage first paladin 2nd or so, Undeads play alot of random shit on SV like dual crypt pandas and stuff to counter MK expos! , sure its possible to defend with 17tech or so , but its not good anyway, cuz if he is not retarded he will take expo after all inning into your worker. So yea just get those levels , do some harassment and take expo while keeping the control, shouldnt be that hard with paladin healing shit, could probably get expo with towers and proceed into mass abuse with heroes really. ( its always on small maps like this )

Other maps, can try mass rifles stuff , but lets say its TM , can easily go mass copter island expo + mort drops and stuff like that , this is really good shit. Same goes for TS and other labaratory maps, drops are universal!.

on TR, well this is tricky, if its close spawn could try mort push with towers and stuff , ye that should work really good , VS any race really, except mb orc( HERO FOCUS TT ). Other than that if you give up map control Undead is going to creep red camps = you are fucked. And cant really mirror undead , because undeads base is better and undeads army is faster and undead can heal better + better army synergy in general. WWELL always can play that old strategy of mine where you go non stop harass on DK with BLM later MK PALADIN and knights copter. OH WAIT I just remembered that you can build towers at the bottom of land near red camp at the right side and i think on the left you can too but not sure, can just build tower out there while non stop pressure on undead with 21 tech or so and then just expand once breakers or rifles out. Or even better could do non stop pressure while building towers in the middle of a map a bit hidden maybe , or like flamestrike some trees while going to undead to harass and place towers there , hidden to help you expo in tier 2. Or its probably possible to just go mass rifles with 21 tech and in tier 2 take expo and tower it up and tower your main up while creeping arround fairly safe, and once 3 3 heroes or so just go abuse non stop and mb take more expos and just standart expo play vs UD in which you have some advantage.

BTW if map is MV its pretty much the same situation other then the fact that if you go archmage first you can creep orange camps with 1 troll priest healing you WITH ONE ARCHMAGE AND BLIZZARD very easily, vs ud is pretty much like playing vs Human, gotta abuse really otherwise its very difficult and you are just too easy to defeat. Oh wait i remembered that MV has zeppelin , so just do drops lol. May expo while dropping too. And just general air units play.

Note that should scout undeads quite a bit in tier1 tier 1,5 , cuz if its gargs masse dont go drops and start massing damn rifles yo. And just creep up as fast as you can, gargs creep not as fast as fiends. Note that undead after seeing rifles masse will probably go tier 3 and get some aboms or just frenzy ghouls so could try going gryphons! Rifle gryphon vs garg ghoul or abom , this will be like undead mirror , but you have staff and mana drain and holylight which allows you to abuse his gold line real good and just play arround with his heroes real good before fighting lol.

In any case dont take my words as its 100% certain shit for UNDEAD MATCHUP , i feel not very confident about it , havent played vs any normal undeads in LONG LONG TIME

STRATEGY LIST

Yesterday night wrote a list of strats I am using now:

############### VS ELF #################

Rule: always fast scout, warden,kotg,potm or tavern hero = go paladin first

1. Mort drops + variations (island expo,invisible knights,just knights,casters,rifles)

2. TS,TR = fortress expansion

3. No labaratory maps = 18tech rax after tech footies/rifles/caster
Variation: go 2rax after tech and expo or tower rush at tier2.(Alchy/naga vs DH?)


############### VS HUMAN #################

Rule: most important is to harass very well


1. Beastmaster mass knights non stop harassment

2. TR = fortress expansion , TS = fort. expo build , but go harass more first

3. Bloodmage mass breaker hit and runs and general harassment

4. 18tech AM + MK expo at tier 2 with casters

5. Mort drops + variations

And various mort/caster , caster , rifle/caster or whatever pushes on expansion.

1. Bloodmage paladin mass foots/rifles map control (use 18 tech?)

2. Crow's expo (on TM or so take expo alot later and use MK 2nd)
Variation: just dont expo at all , just creep and bank, footman+MK are great for that.


############### VS UNDEAD #################

Rule: most important is to level your + harass at same time preferably.

Secret Valley vs UD

This map is pretty difficult vs undead , mostly because they can either go gargs and take fountains and fuck you up or they can go fiends and take middle shops and fuck you up.But this strategy that I developed long time ago from my huge hate and anger towards Undead , counters both.


Build order: ( the most important thing )

  • 5P to gold
  • 1P from hall altar , later wood
  • 2P from hall farm and later wood
  • 3P and so on goes to wood until 17food is reached ( including hero )



Hero choices:
As first hero either get Mountain king or Paladin. Both are good at defending tier 1 aggression and good at being aggressive vs UND.As second hero its your preference. Solid combo is Paladin+bloodmage or MountainKing+bloodmage or archmage.


Early game:

Just defend your base and run arround with your hero , scout what is your opponent doing , just you know normal tech stuff.But after you start teching (at 17 food) instantly make arcane tower and baracks and some farms, after that blacksmith and second baracks. Once its possible make 3footman and creep fountains.Start making rifles as soon as possible and go harassing with your footman+first hero while your 2nd hero with rifles creeps a couple of other camps (finishes fountain dragons and then unite and creep a middle shop spot or so. Just completely take advantage of your tier 2 superiority.Once thats done, push undead player and do things like kill ghouls, weaken hero , kill shop and then run away and creep something near him so he wouldnt have any creep camps left in the future ( this hurts undeads very bad , especially vs rifles ).



Middle game:

Once you are at 50food or near 50food , make arcane sanctum and make priests/sorcs ,at this time undead should be making abominations already. Or if you are not into rifle/casters you can go earlier tech to tier 3 and get mass gryphons+rifles, thats very fragile with 17tech tho' , because you dont have much wood , so invest a bit of gold into peasants.This will probably be a suicide if you didnt mess Undead player really good at tier 2, but if you did, this is probably a game winner. So if you went for rifle/casters , just set up an expansion and keep controlling the map, do bolt or holy light harassment on acolytes with staff and things like that.


( use clap to disable all the incoming ghouls )

Late game:

Its pretty bad that game went so far , it only does if you didnt keep that map control real good or undead player is camping like a faggot. Just smoke him out or try to get this into expo game, make more wood peasants and mass towers on ramps of red expansion spots and things like that.

Pressuring UD

This style is pretty effective vs UD on maps such as: SV,TR,AI and pretty much any map which is hard to creep on.

Build order:

18 tech with 1 tower: ( a bit open base is alright )

  • 5P to gold , first to comeback makes Altar, scouts
  • 1P from hall builds farm , later scout tower
  • 2P from hall goes gold
  • 3P from hall builds lumbermill
  • 4P from hall and so on goes wood.


( this is just an example, placement doseant matter that much , but make it secure )


Mentality: Prevent DK from getting level 3 , prevent undead from creeping in general.

Army: Knights/copters 3hero 3 staffs ( do armor upgrades )

Requirement: Very good micro

Early game:

Choose Bloodmage or MountainKing as your first hero and go for some harassment, never lose a trail of DK, he alone can creep orange camps with ease using rod of necromancy, so beware.By the way , alot of undeads like going fast fiends,late hero vs our tech ( it kinda sucks vs long tech , but is very effective vs this strategy ), from this big problem arise, you cant stop DK and alot of fiends from getting level 3 with 1 hero , but neither can you even if you had footman.So pretty much if you see undead going fast fiends , try to power level yourself and once you get your first knights outs do some sick harassment ( kill shop , kill zigs , kill aco and just staff knights out ). Or if the map is very small and shitty, skill level 2 siphon mana at level 3 bloodmage, with it you counter level 3-4 DK very easy, just bolt him and drain , same goes for lich.



Middle game:

By this time you got fully functional knight+3hero army poppin', try to clear or find a cleared expansion spot and expand while putting pressure on undead. If you cant then just wait in the opposite direction from your building expo and then you see with your scout copters that he is leaving his base to fuck your expo up , go in to his main base and destroy whatever you can see.



Late game:

Pretty much hero battles later on.

*note that if undead plays mass banshees , you are better off getting more knights than getting mortars for counter or go
spellbreakers or air or anything other than mortars , from my personal experience*

Misc. Tactics

This is a list of tactics which I used once upon a time, but I stopped because they werent flexibile enough or I just kinda sucked, you can try them yourself if you want.

*note that I forgot alot of them already*

VS ORC

  • MK tech, after tech 2 rax mass rifles and creep to lvl 3mk , alchy w/acidbomb 2nd and go fuck orc heroes up. ( its possible to get your own expo running with this too)
  • Bloodmage tech, straight to tier3, 2 arcane sanctums 1 baracks 1 workshop, creep with army till level 3 and do invis harass,scout orc with copters , if expo attempt or it is just late game already , break upkeep with caster/knight/sharded morts.One single fight , one single chance.


VS ELF

  • After tech 2 rax and mass footies, later rifles. First hero Alchy. Naga or mk 2nd and tower rush. ( hero focus mostly ) Tower rush once you get 2nd hero , instantly.( its possible to get your own expo running with this too)
  • Archmage tech w/ water elemental, solo creep everywhere, straight tier 3 tech, get beastmaster and firelord as other heroes, creep with mass summons everywhere while getting counter army. ( knights morts priests ussually )

VS UD

  • Bloodmage tech into mass breakers , do damage upgrades and harass undeads shop and acolytes. While doing that expand.Think orc raiders.Kill undeads statues and focus hero in battles mostly.
  • Archmage tech, after tech 2 baracks and mass rifles, paladin 2nd , and add in some priests. Creep and push, use blizzard and holy light to defeat ghouls/aboms or fiends.

VS HU

Hidden Manner Kingdom

Hiddenmanner kingdom is a very useful skill to learn , it may give you a win in games you wouldnt normaly win or just give you a super advantage over your opponent.You may even have seen some of the pro HUMAN players do similar things in their games vs pro ELF players, especially on EI.

Cheesy techniques

This is just a list of things you can do. These things will work only if you are not scouted/countered properly. Which isnt hard really. So use at your own risk.

Instant expo (with or without fast altar):

Name pretty much explains it, once your hero is out you instantly expand.This is actually really effective on Echoisles, if lets say you went fast altar and your opponent went fast fiends ( later hero ) , you will get that expo up and will win like 80% chance. Because that huge ammount of money you get from expoing so early on , and that he isnt able to do almost any harassment, thats just soo goood.


Insta expo with tower support:

Just look at this picture:



You see if someone wouldav spawned close to me , I would insta lose , but if its faraway spawn I will get this expo up even on hard map like TM. (even if I get pressured after creeping the camp, I can get that expo up without footman on okay level, just use mass militia ).

If opponent doseant scout this , he will most likely lose even if he is progamer.


Echo isles sneaky expansion:

Use flamestrike and peasant Attack-tree to clear the trees!

2v2 Teching guide

Its pretty hard to explain mine and CoNteMpT's 2v2 strats , because they always vary on situation, you just gotta know whats good and whats bad. And that comes from experience. So better than writing alot of stuff I'll just post a replay pack right here of us playing some ladder games and clanwars.Plus we chat alot in our replays , you could probably make a guide completely out of our chat heh.

Paladin vs ELF

At first you may think:
"uh oh , but what about demon hunter and manaburn!?!??!"

But actually from alot of my experiences I can say that DH counters paladin only at tier 1 and early tier 2, but because we are playing tech with towers and such its not a problem at all to survive those periods and if you look at replays of ELF vs HU nowadays you will often see ELF's going heroes like Warden, Kotg and Darkranger , which paladin completely destroys! But afterall ,I recommend using paladin only on maps where theres no zeppelin, because if there is you can just go mort drops and things like that which are even more effective! ( exception would be Terenas Stand, paladin is great on that map ).BUT, in the end, I can add that Paladin first isn't really enjoyable hero to play vs DemonHunter, it would be better to leave a peasant near elfs altar and if its Demonhunter cancel your paladin and get someone else or get a tavern hero, something like alchemist is really good for tier 1 aggression, scouting and tier 2 pushing or power expo vs DH.

Build order:

21 tech with open base: ( or with one little opening )
  • 5P to gold
  • 1P from hall starts lumbermill , builds altar, builds 2 towers
  • 2P from hall builds farm , scouts
  • 3P from hall goes to wood
  • 4P from hall finishes lumbermill
  • 5P from hall builds farm
  • 6P and so on goes to wood.
Early game:

Pretty much try to creep up a little bit with militia and paladin or paladin alone (turtles on TurtleRock and divineshield), but at same time try to tech as fast as possible and get blacksmith and baracks as soon as possible. Make a couple of rifles and just creep casually, scout Elf potential expo places and if there is an expansion or attempt to make one , make bloodmage
2nd , mountain king or naga , arcane sanctum and produce mass rifles/caster and just push elf and win right there. If elf has mass hunts make rifles/morts and Paladin/Bloodmage(banish). If there is no expansion procceed teching to mass knights and do some harassing with your army once you get level 3 paladin, you shouldnt lose any units because of holylight.

( killed 2 dryads and an archer, and drained all opp's mana , lost nothing )

Middle game:

Just go arround do damage,delay elf until first knights pop up, once they do get expo or so and do some serious harassment with knights, because of strong holylight and staff and maybe even banish and drain , you will pretty much lose 0 knights while killing shitloads of his moonwells, draining alot of his mana and just eating up his mana.Paladin is great for delaying elf while getting that expo up and he is even great vs panda, holylights cooldown is low , so you can fully heal up like 3 knights or rifles before he gets his second bof on you.

( took down elf expo and running away, lost nothing , didnt even need to use tp )

*note that dont take everything litteraly , if you are facing something like mass air or dryads obviously go for workshop units like copter or mortars for support*

Late game:

Could even get 3rd hero and get a staff of sanctuary on every one of them and do some superb harassing with 3hero knights on things like , elfs expos, moonwells and stuff like that.If it transfered into expo game , you can easily do inivisible knights and kill elfs expos while getting your own or do one big, strong army of mort/caster/knight/gryphon or whatever. Really dependant on situation.

By the way , remember to shout : "Justice is served" after you win a battle, this makes your units get +1morale points.

[7:44:05 PM] Itachi: to take mapcontrol immediately when unitproduction starts

AMAI

AMAI is modified warcraft 3 bots. They are made to act more "human" and just be better at everything. So I tried playing vs AMAI after long time ( I did abit when I was newbie ) and I can say that its alright , sure I can own them pretty hard by just attacking them while mass towers in expo spot or just by constant pressure , but its pretty good practice I could say. But to make it even better I'll try to do some AMAI modding right now , maybe even post AMAI bloodmage mod in the future lol. ( alright thats canceled , I dont really have the motivation to learn how to pearl atm )

Places to find tournaments

Alot of people are ussualy saying things like:

"uh oh wc3 is sooo dead theres no tournaments : ((( "

But thats completely not true , actually I am having a tournament in 2minutes.

Crow's expo vs ORC

This strategy is very effective , I could even say nearly unbeatable on Echo isles by orc. On other maps its okay , but is very unstable vs fast wyverns + you cant do this strategy and have to play differently if orc player is teching very fast without baracks.

Build order:

21 tech closed base with shop:

  • 5P to gold
  • 1P from hall build altar, scout
  • 2p from hall build farm , later farm and shop
  • 3p from hall build lumbermill
  • 4p from hall build tower, later another tower
  • 5p from hall and so on go wood



Early game:

Always make Archmage as first hero and skill either blizzard or water elemental and go harassing. I personally prefer going blizzard , it deals quite alot of damage on orc units when defending your towers at expo which you will be building later on and is pretty good at harassing and in big fights , which will happen all the time after you get expo. Only thing that water elemental is better at doing is solo creeping and canceling burrows or shop.So like I was saying before just run arround and harass orc peons. Just delay his resources as much as you can , even if you dont kill peons they are not mining gold and you are, when building expansion this will be very useful. The main thing is to build baracks while doing all this and militia creep a green camp or so to have 1,5LVL Archmage or so. Because when you are going to creep expansion spot you will get level 2 archmage like this.


Orc went off on looting items with his BM , so I went in for some super harassment


Middle game:

From your baracks you built you should make 3 footman.Once you reach tier 2 , powerbuild 2 arcane sanctums with 2 peasants each and make Bloodmage as second hero ( skill him banish ). Once you got 2 priests and 2 sorcs , take 5 militia , 3 ivory towers , maybe healthpot (if you have money) and go expand. At this point even if orc player jacks you right after you start creeping , he cant do shit to you. Just banish low hp units or blademaster, at this time he cant have dispel so your slow will mess him up really bad too.Most important is to hold off until your 3 ivory towers are up, which is pretty easy. Once thats done, set up an expansion and scout orc player. If he is counter expoing at this time procceed on massing sorcs/footman and get some mercenaries and finish orc player for fast/easy win. But if you are unsure if you can do so just procceed on teching to tier 3 and getting knight/caster/mortar/gryph army with paladin 3rd and just creep arround.


Lure creeps with blizzard for 100% safe creeping


Late game:

Because this is expansion strategy , you can do whatever you want after you set it up.


In conclusion:

Just follow the rules and set up an expansion very easy, once thats done, just counter your opponent.
